October 2005 - The house as it appeared on the first day we looked at it. Look closely - Bill has a smile on his face because there are no dogs barking! |
There were days when we were sure that people would drive by and think that we were testing missiles. This shows the original wood siding (white) and the wood base underneath (brown.) |
May 2009 - After new cement siding, new roof, new porch(es), new windows, new doors, new porch rails, new sidewalks, and a fresh coat of paint! Can we please just sit on the porch now?! |

The front porch was in poor shape. The floor was cracked, the columns were crumbling. The porch ceiling had birds living in it. |
Cement porch removed. New wood porch installed. Note that the ceiling was falling apart. |
This is where we enjoy hot coffee in the morning and a cold beverage in the evening...in the summer, anyway. Props to Brad Ford and "Built to Last Construction" for the beautiful porch ceiling! |

April 11, 2008. One day before we hosted Bill's 50th birthday party at our house. |
MUCH BETTER! |
